World Tai Chi Chi Kung Day
07 March 2007
An annual healing event has quietly spread across the planet. By creating a healing wave of calm around the planet, World Tai Chi & Chi Kung Day (Qigong) paints a vision of possibility for humanity each year. Subtly, quietly, providing a profound example to millions who participate or experience it through the media.
Millions worldwide have experienced the healing benefits of T'ai Chi & Qigong. People who've felt the profound stress management benefits of these ancient tools, and realize what they offer humanity, have begun to come together to share that awareness with society at large . . . and at a time when the world needs it the most.
World T'ai Chi & Chi Kung Day brings people together worldwide across economic and geopolitical lines . . . coming together to celebrate health and healing. World T'ai Chi & Chi Kung Day begins at 10 am with groups in New Zealand, and then quietly spreads time zone by time zone across the globe, to finish with the final events in Hawaii. Beginning in New Zealand, this event will spread across the globe through 60 countries across 6 continents. . . . This healing wave will be a spectacular visual site, but also promote calm and wellness worldwide.
Mass Tai Chi and Chi Kung Exhibitions will be held in public places to educate the world about the benefits of the Traditional-Chinese-Medicine exercises of Tai Chi and Chi Kung.
Tai Chi and Qigong (Chi Kung) are health technologies evolved over several thousand years of research in China and now growing in popularity worldwide. They are used in hospitals, business, prisons, schools, and other institutions. Tai Chi and Qigong have been shown in research to reduce anxiety, depression, chronic pain conditions. They boost the immune system, improve respiratory function, burn calories, dramatically improve balance, provide cardiovascular benefit, provide powerful stress management tools, and slow aspects of the aging process.
